Artist Statement

My art inspiration starts with paying attention — to people, animals, places, and the random moments that spark my creative vision. I’m shaped by rural roots, fueled by curiosity, and happiest when I’m soaking in new landscapes (or marching through them). Every experience nudges my work forward as I keep experimenting, refining, and trying to communicate perception and ideas through paint.

I’m drawn to those transitory moments where light, motion, and memory all collide — where what you see becomes tangled with what you feel. I’m less interested in perfect realism and more in that in-between space where things start to blur, because that’s where the truth usually hides.

My paintings aren’t about one subject so much as one pursuit: translating experience into color and shape, connection into gesture, and emotion into something you can hang on a wall. Some days it’s philosophy with a paintbrush; other days, it’s just me chasing light before it changes its mind again.

And some days it's just me seeing what happens when I stop overthinking.

Lost Edges : My Creative Path

I’ve walked in a lot of boots — farm kid growing up with horses and cowboys, student, wife, mom, designer, coder, creative director, teacher, farm manager, trail guide, business owner, and now, full-time artist. (Somewhere in there I also learned how to fix fences, wrangle websites, and drink coffee like it’s a sport.)

These days, I’m pulling all those threads together into one creative life — one that moves, questions, connects, and makes things just for the joy of it.

Lost Edges isn’t just a name; it’s how I see the world. It’s about the spaces where lines blur and one thing becomes another — art and life, work and play, discipline and freedom. It reflects my curiosity, my need to keep moving, my love of wild places, and my obsession with turning fleeting moments into something you can feel.

LostEdges.life is where I share that ongoing experiment — stories, paintings, and reflections from a life that refuses to color inside the lines.

Explore boldly. Express endlessly. Evolve intentionally.
