My husband and I were on our morning bike ride by Stearns Lake through the eagle preserve. Whoosh! An eagle crossed my path at eye level. It was startling and breathtaking. I wanted to capture the motion, intensity and transitory nature of the experience. The result was this 20x27 oil painting done with a abstracted textures and blurred motion. This represents a visual reaction to the moment rather than a photographic snapshot.
