Summer Graze

24" x 18" Oil on Canvas.

Private Collection

I was intrigued by this red barn when I first moved to Colorado. It was near Berthoud between Loveland and Boulder. The horses were in the pasture...of course they weren't cooperating for the composition so I loosely portrayed them where I wanted them. All the contrasts with between the red and green colors, and the light and dark horses were fun to work with. It all felt so peaceful.
